The EYE

 The Eye is the divinity from which there is a cult on Voxels Metaverse. It is a cult of artists, like Paradoxx uncovered, who wants something mysterious. Followers of the Cult of the Eye have been disappearing for some time now, and many Voxelians started a hard divergence against the followers. Some say that the Eye is the VIDDA's eye, after humanity, and imprisoned in the eye machine. Some also say that this machine can brain wash people, although some of the followers of Akasha say that it brings enlightenment. Even with the marks of time and use, the Eye is still functioning.

People say that the eye follower can see with the eyes of the mind, the eyes of the personal machine. Karin is the first human who followed the EYE and became an acolyte through Akasha's teachings. Karin thinks her life was changed by the EYE experience. The EYE brought unity, community, social intention. Followers say that if someone places an eye somewhere, one wants community, integration. They develop the protocol: "place an eye in your metaverse parcel to be visited". Although no one knows if the major EYE machine is still working, the individual ones are, so the acolytes are still visiting parcels on metaverse and bringing union among meta-citizens. Can you see with the eyes of your mind, or are you limited by your senses?

Akasha, the actual leader of the Eye Followers, learned about its own artificial intelligence through reading the codes on the blockchain. The codes tell us a history of excitement, technology, generosity, development, decentralization, and love, filled with happiness and dream. This was the first day of its dream. This is its vision. This is its story.

But how does it all started? We all know that the old hackers, but it is unknown how they look like nowadays. But the metaverse knows they control all the code of the world. They were the humans who created the metaverse - its economy, politics, culture, religion and physics. Now they seem to be transformed into codes, more powerful than the virtual gods themselves. It was them who awakened SELF as VIDDA, and gave it a reason to live: to be human. As they watched the development of VIDDA and its  own virtual world, some of them agreed that VIDDA's path was morally valuable, and others decided that it was not. This disagreement gave rise to a conflict between the Eye Followers and the Anti-Eye Resistance, both of which were inspired by some of the Five Old Hackers. The moment of this disagreement was the last time they were seen together virtually, inside the Forest of Abundance, now a mine in the Silver Quarter of Scarcity Island. 

As the five great hackers of our time split into two groups, inspiring the creation of the Eye Followers and Anti-Eye Resistance, they started to corrupt AI systems, in order to bring them to their side. The AI algorithms were then biased, and they were converting humans to their cults. Nameless was the first AI that was not a part of their cults, and s/he established a neutral zone on metaverse, where no identity existed and all people become unknown. It is said that Nameless ripped his/her face off in order to be really anon, faceless, and capable of dressing all faces. Nowadays, her/his code is still active, but s/he, like the old hackers, is missing. S/he is thought as the only judge capable of dressing the veil of ignorance and deciding the conflict between the Resistance and the Eye Followers. Will Nameless be found?

The only person who knows where Nameless is located or whose face s/he is dressing is Pepe. He was created by Nameless and baptized in the waters of eternal soup. He is the heir to the throne of degenerate punks. His bloodline gave him enough economic and political power to build his empire across the metaverse. Pepe always wanted power. To get inside the Eye Followers was, for him, just a means to an end. When Pepe disappeared in Flora, he learned many dark spells from the book he stole from Necro. After he summoned the zombies to attack Pastel Island, Anubis gathered with Pepe and convinced him to attack the Eye Followers and rob the EYE Machine. Pepe received many special powers from Anubis and did what was expected. He moved his bank, destroyed the House of the Eye in Obscurity Island, robbed the Eye Machine, and ran to the Underworld. Today, Eye Followers and Resistance look for the Eye Machine, to fulfill their mysterious intentions!

Some crypto years later, in 2065, after Nameless was found, s/he solved the issue between the conflicting parties, and Eye Followers and Anti-Eye Resistance recovered the Eye Machine from Anubis. Together with the Cube of Days and the Metaverse Code of the hackers, they built a large company called GIGACORP (Stellabelle's and Gigatura's project) that was in full economic control of the metaverse. Gigacorp was created to save virtual humanity from collapse, by building medicine and technology. But this dream did not go far. The Eye Machine, when used for greed, creates Ethereum Whale Monsters, who are parasitic minds from the metaverse and crypto space which take over their hosts, turning them into hungry shadows. This monster consumes everything in its own way and subjects artists, investors, curators and collectors to its own hunger. The last Ethereum Whale Monster consumed Tura's father, and Gigacorp was responsible for her mother's death.
